The proprietary blend problem

"Proprietary blend" usually means "we won't tell you the dose."

Most supplement labels list a blend of ingredients with a single combined weight and no breakdown of how much of each compound is actually inside. That matters because almost every ingredient on a label has a minimum effective dose found in research. Below that dose, you're paying for a marketing claim, not an effect.*

RNWY does the opposite. Every active ingredient in every product is listed with its exact amount per serving and that amount matches what was used in the studies we're citing. If we can't dose something at the level research supports, we don't include it.*

This page exists so you can verify every claim yourself. Each ingredient below includes its dose, what it's studied for, and which RNWY product contains it.

How RNWY formulates

Start with the research

We identify the dose used in peer-reviewed studies for each compound, not the dose that's cheapest to include.*

Disclose every gram

No blends. Every active ingredient is listed individually on the Supplement Facts panel with its exact amount.

Eliminate overlap

Each of the four products is formulated to do a distinct job so stacking them never means doubling up on the same compound.*

Third-party verify

Every product is Informed Sport certified. Every batch is tested for banned substances by an independent lab.

Daily = Anytime

Foundation® = joint, tendon & hydration support

Shop Foundation →

10g per serving

FORTIGEL® bioactive collagen peptides

A specific bioactive collagen peptide manufactured by GELITA, studied in peer-reviewed trials for its ability to stimulate cartilage tissue regeneration. Generic collagen has not been shown to do this. FORTIGEL® is the specific compound the research is about.*

Included in the 10g blend

TENDOFORTE® bioactive collagen peptides

A second GELITA-developed collagen peptide, studied specifically for tendon and ligament strength in athletes under repetitive load, a different clinical target than FORTIGEL®, which is why Foundation® includes both.*

1,400mg+ per serving

Full electrolyte complex

Sodium, potassium, magnesium, chloride, phosphorus, calcium, and zinc...a broad mineral profile rather than sodium alone, supporting daily fluid balance and nerve and muscle function even on rest days.*

Bone & immune support

Vitamin D3

Endurance athletes who train indoors or in low-sunlight climates are at elevated risk of deficiency. D3 supports calcium absorption and bone mineral density, relevant to stress fracture prevention in runners.*

Collagen synthesis co-factor

Vitamin C

Required for the body to actually form new collagen without it, collagen peptide intake has limited effect. Research suggests taking Vitamin C alongside collagen peptides improves delivery to connective tissue.*

After = Recovery

Complete Protein = recovery & muscle support

Shop Complete Protein →

25g per serving

Fermented yeast protein (YESTEIN®)

A complete vegan protein containing all nine essential amino acids in a profile comparable to whey, produced through fermentation rather than extraction from soy or pea. Monash Low FODMAP certified, which is unusual among whey and plant proteins.*

5g per serving

Creatine monohydrate

The most heavily-researched form of creatine and the dose used across virtually all clinical trials. Supports power output, strength, and, increasingly supported by research, cognitive function under fatigue. 5g is the dose, not a "creatine blend."*

Digestive enzyme complex

Enzyme blend (protease, lipase, amylase)

Added to support the breakdown of protein, fat, and carbohydrate in the serving itself, relevant for athletes who experience GI discomfort from protein powders, particularly post-exercise when digestion is already deprioritized.*

During = Intra-Workout

Salty Carbs® = dual-pathway fueling

Shop Salty Carbs →

24g per serving

Maltodextrin

A fast-absorbing glucose polymer that enters the bloodstream via the SGLT1 transporter. Your gut can only move so much glucose through SGLT1 per hour, roughly 60g, which is the ceiling single-carb sports drinks run into.*

6g per serving

Fructose

Absorbed through GLUT5, a completely separate transporter from SGLT1. Adding fructose alongside maltodextrin raises the total carbohydrate absorption ceiling without overloading either pathway. Research suggests up to 75% higher absorption versus single-source carbs at the 1:0.8 ratio used here.*

700mg+ per serving

Sodium (as sodium citrate)

The primary electrolyte lost in sweat and the most important to replace during long efforts. At 700mg+, this is 3-5x the sodium of most sports drinks, high enough to maintain blood volume and trigger normal thirst response.*

100mg per serving

Potassium (as potassium citrate)

Works alongside sodium to maintain fluid balance and muscle contraction. Potassium depletion during prolonged exercise is linked to cramping and fatigue, and is frequently underdosed in single-electrolyte formulas.*

50mg per serving

Magnesium (as magnesium citrate)

Involved in over 300 enzymatic reactions, including those governing muscle contraction and energy production. Magnesium is lost through sweat and implicated in late-session cramping when depleted.*

Before = Pre-Workout

Extra Mile® = caffeine-free performance

Shop Extra Mile →

6g per serving

L-Citrulline

Converts to arginine in the kidneys, raising nitric oxide and relaxing blood vessels to improve blood flow to working muscle. 6g matches the dose shown in research to improve endurance performance and reduce perceived exertion. Many products use far less.*

Patented compound

Dynamine™ (methylliberine)

A fast-acting alkaloid that activates dopamine receptors and blocks adenosine, the molecule responsible for fatigue signaling. Onset within about 15 minutes, without the blood-pressure spike or tolerance buildup associated with caffeine.*

Patented compound

TeaCrine® (theacrine)

Structurally similar to caffeine but with a longer half-life and research showing no tolerance buildup with daily use. Pairs with Dynamine™ to extend the energy and focus window across a full session rather than a short spike.*

Patented compound

elevATP®

A blend of ancient peat and apple polyphenol extracts, studied for its effect on the body's own ATP production, the energy currency cells use during exercise. Clinical work has linked it to improved power output in high-intensity efforts.*

Patented compound

Senactiv®

An extract of Panax notoginseng and Rosa roxburghii studied for supporting energy production in muscle cells and clearing damaged cells to make way for new fibers, relevant for athletes training on back-to-back days.*

Organic whole food

Organic beetroot

Rich in dietary nitrates that convert to nitric oxide through a separate pathway from L-Citrulline. The two work together to support oxygen efficiency and VO2 max, one of the most studied natural ergogenic ingredients available.*

Common questions about the science

What does "clinically dosed" actually mean? +

It means the amount of an ingredient in the product matches the amount used in the peer-reviewed studies that found it effective. Many supplements include an ingredient at a fraction of its studied dose: enough to list on the label, not enough to produce the effect the research describes. Every active ingredient in RNWY products is listed individually with its exact dose so this can be verified against the published research.*

What's the difference between FORTIGEL® and regular collagen? +

FORTIGEL® is a specific bioactive collagen peptide manufactured by GELITA with its own body of clinical research showing it stimulates cartilage tissue regeneration. Generic hydrolyzed collagen (the kind found in most collagen powders) has not been studied in the same way. The evidence is for the specific compound, not for "collagen" as a category.*

Why does Salty Carbs® use two types of carbohydrate? +

Glucose-based carbs like maltodextrin absorb through the SGLT1 transporter, which has a ceiling of roughly 60g per hour. Fructose absorbs through a separate transporter, GLUT5. Combining the two at the 1:0.8 ratio used in Salty Carbs® raises total carbohydrate absorption without overloading either pathway, which is why dual-carb formulas are associated with less GI distress at high intake rates.*

Is Dynamine™ or TeaCrine® the same as caffeine? +

No. Both are purine alkaloids structurally related to caffeine, but they act on different receptors and have different research profiles. Dynamine™ has a fast onset (around 15 minutes) and TeaCrine® has a longer half-life with research showing no tolerance buildup over repeated daily use. Neither contains caffeine, which is why Extra Mile® can be labeled caffeine-free.*

Why is the creatine dose 5g and not higher? +

5g of creatine monohydrate per day is the dose used in the overwhelming majority of clinical research on creatine, including studies on strength, power output, and recovery. It's an evidence-based dose rather than a marketing number. Higher doses haven't shown proportionally greater benefit in most research and may simply be excreted.*

What does Informed Sport certification actually test for? +

Informed Sport is an independent, batch-by-batch testing program that screens for substances banned by major sporting bodies (WADA-listed substances). Every production run of every RNWY product is tested by an accredited lab before it's released. It is not just a one-time formula approval.

Can I take all four RNWY products together? +

Yes. The four products were formulated together specifically so there's no ingredient overlap. Foundation® (daily), Extra Mile® (pre-workout), Salty Carbs® (intra-workout), and Complete Protein (post-workout) each cover a distinct role with no duplicated compounds across any combination.*
